Pelas Palang, Original East Javanese Corn Omelette

I actually found this recipe from my region and here where I come from. Palang Tuban is a name of  a city in east of Java and this pelas looked so good I knew and I must try it, so I brought the receipe home and adapted it a just bit to suit my tastes.

You gotta love a recipe where you can just dump everything together, pan fry it for a few minutes, and have something this lovely come out of it...right?  I think I proud of here!  And even if I can't hear you over the computer, my daughter proclaimed "these are amazing!"  So I'll take that any hour of the day.

Material :
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoon wheat flour
  • 5 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cobs fresh corn, sliced and mashed
  • 5 chilli or more
  •  Vegetable oil
Ingredients :
  • 2 Union
  • 1 garlic
  • 1 small piece galangal
  • 2 lime leaf 
  • 3 kencur ( known as Kaempferia Galanga)
  • 1 small pieces of shrimp paste (terasi)
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder (ketumbar)

Directions :
  • In a small bowl, whisk egg, water, salt,wheat flour, and the sliced corn until blended
  • Blend all the ingredients and pour to the bowl.
  • Mix and stir the mixture
  • Heat frying pan with medium, pour vegetable oil.
  • Fry the pelas
  • Serve warm
